EMERSON MALE YORKIE DOB 12/4/13 ADOPTED
MAY 2017: Emerson came to us May 20, 2017. He is very thin today most likely due to an infected mouth. We look forward to the day when he can eat without pain and we can beginto see this little guys personality shine!
AUGUST 2017: Emerson is doing fabulous! He is currently under the care of an eye specialist who is treating his dry eye. He is on a regimen at this time that is quite extensive. He will return to the eye dr in a few weeks for an evaluation. This little guy has gained 1 pound since he has came to MPMR and he is full of spunk! He enjoys seeing the world from the safety and comfort of the puppy pouch! He also enjoys sunbathing on the deck. He recently helped a young man celebrate his 99th birthday and he did wonderful....Greeting people, walking on leash and letting people hold and pet him.
AUGUST 2017: Emerson's return visit to the eye specialist was encouraging. We are to continue on the current regimen of medication until November at which time we will reevaluate.
NOVEMBER 2017: Emerson has been released from medical care and is ready to find his forever home. His home will be someone who is committed to the care of his eyes...as they will need eye drops 4 times a day. Because of his small size, he will go to a home without small children. He gets along well with other similar sized dogs, as long as they are not trying to eat his food!! This sweet boy loves the softest cushion in the house, is adventurous...loves to be held and enjoys the sunshine!
JANUARY 2018: Emerson is under medical observation as we work to to determine the best solution for long term care of his eyes.
JULY 2018: Emerson is ready for his forever family! He was pretty sure he was ready a few months ago, but we have been working with an eye specialist to find the most effective treatment for his chronic dry eye. The handsome little guy requires eye drops several times a day, but he doesn't mind a bit. He knows he's special and deserves special treatment!
JANUARY 2019: We are so very happy that Emerson's eye continues to do well with the current regimen prescribed by the eye specialist.
