Services

Rescue

Acknowledging Missouri is the #1 state for puppy mills on the Humane Society's Horrible 100 list, we join other organizations and assist in rescuing  neglected, discarded small breed mill dogs.

Rehabilitating

Once we have received a rescued dog in our care, an assessment and evaluation is completed.

We provide all veterinary services necessary to bring this special soul  to optimum health.  This can often times be very extensive, as  mill breeders  neglect veterinary care  for their dogs.

We also provide socialization needed for each survivor.

Re-homing

Rehabilitation of mill survivors takes time.  Our philosophy is one of letting the survivor come forward in their own time.  Allowing the survivor the ability to feel secure in his/her environment and giving them the opportunity to move forward with confidence.  As rehabilitation progresses, we determine if and when the survivor can be placed in a home or if it would be better for him/her to remain in sanctuary at MPMR.
